Vikings coach Childress was again bombarded with questions

It seems that the media does not like a public mum on Brett Favre’s recent situation, and when they have no way to get anything new from the quarterback himself, they try hard to make someone talk about him. And their recent target is the Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress.

Actually, the reporters did not manage to get anything new out of Childress’ mouth. Following a practice on Wednesday, Childress was a bit surprised when he was surrounded with a group of reporters and asked similar questions to the ones he was asked earlier in the offseason, so he told them the similar answer to what he said last time. The questions were nothing new, and Childress’ answer was also the old one: he had some text message exchanges with Favre but they did not talk about the quarterback’s playing status for 2010 season. It seemed what Childress knows is nothing more than what all other people know already.

Favre stated last month that his doctor suggested him have a surgery to repair his injured ankle, but Favre also said he did not feel like undergoing the surgery right away and whether he was going to have the surgery does not matter much to his decision on whether to wear back his No.4 Brett Favre jersey. However, people have guessed that he would possibly return to finish the remaining one year on his current contract with the Vikings.
